Detection approach

Real computer mice send movement data to the computer much faster than the screen can draw it, resulting in 'packed' hardware data points. This visitor's mouse moved across the screen without generating a single piece of packed hardware data, which is physically impossible for a real mouse and proves the movement was injected directly by an automated script.

How this helps detect bots

Collect this signal alongside session context, request metadata, and other independent indicators. A single anomaly is a lead, not a verdict; corroborating anomalies make automated traffic more likely.

Low-end laptops under CPU load, or basic drawing tablets.
